Trauma & Childhood Trauma Therapy in Plantation, Weston & Across Florida

Trauma & Childhood Trauma Therapy

When something painful from the past keeps showing up in the present, trauma therapy helps your mind and body finally move through it. I work with adults healing from childhood and relational trauma.

What is trauma therapy?

Something happened, maybe a long time ago, and your body still acts like it could happen again. A certain tone of voice, a particular kind of silence, and suddenly you're right back there.

That's because trauma isn't only what happened to you. It's what your body learned in order to survive it. Understanding it in your head is rarely enough on its own, which is why the same patterns can follow you for years.

Childhood and relational trauma can leave you anxious, on guard, or strangely numb, even when life looks fine from the outside. These are normal responses to things that were anything but normal. In our work we go beneath the talking and help your nervous system finally feel that it's over.

I work with adults throughout Florida by secure telehealth, including Plantation, Weston, and Broward County. When you're ready, reach out for a free consultation at 954-282-9231 or send a message here.

Trauma therapy can help with:

A body-based approach

Because trauma lives in the body, we use more than talk, and we go gently. You set the pace, and we never push past what feels safe. Our work can include:

  • Somatic work to release stored stress
  • EFT (tapping) for triggers and overwhelm
  • ACT and existential approaches for meaning and direction
  • Steady, paced work that respects your limits
